  • What’s the easiest way to get to the Broodfabriek?

  • De Broodfabriek
    Volmerlaan 12
    2288 GD Rijswijk

    Accessibility

The Broodfabriek is very easy to get to, both by car and public transport. The venue is located in the Plaspoelpolder area in Rijswijk, right off the A4 and near the A12 and A13 motorways. It is easily accessible from all motorways to and from The Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. The Rijswijk train station is walking distance from the venue, and the bus and tram both stop right outside the door.

    A4 coming from Amsterdam:

The Broodfabriek is less than 35 minutes by car on the A4 motorway from Amsterdam. Take the A4 until you see the exit for Plaspoelpolder (exit 10). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto the Diepenhorstlaan. Go left at the first set of traffic lights, onto the Visseringlaan. After 250 metres, go left onto the Volmerlaan, and you will see the Broodfabriek on your right-hand side after about 50 metres.

    A13 coming from Rotterdam:

If you are coming from Rotterdam, take the A13 motorway heading toward The Hague. At the Ypenburg interchange, follow the signs for Rijswijk A4 (exit 7 - Rijswijk). Stay on the A4 until you see the exit for Plaspoelpolder (exit 10).

    A4 coming from Rotterdam:

The Broodfabriek is around 25 minutes by car via the A4 motorway. Stay on the A4 until you see the exit for Plaspoelpolder (exit 10). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto the Diepenhorstlaan. Go left at the first set of traffic lights, onto the Visseringlaan. The Broodfabriek is only 7 minutes walking distance from the Rijswijk NS station. Get off the train at the Rijswijk station, and follow the signs for the main station hall. When you walk out the main doors, you will be on the Sir Winston Churchilllaan. Go right onto the Lange Kleiweg. Go left onto the Visseringlaan, and right onto the Volmerlaan at the traffic lights. The main entrance will be about 100 metres on your right-hand side.

  • What are the dimensions and height of the total show floor space?

  • The total gross floor space is 11,000 m2.
The height varies from 3.76 to 6.53 metres.

  • What about cancellations?

  • The cancellation conditions in the Dibevo Trade Fair Regulations apply to all cancellations.

  • What is the BLIKVANGERS pavilion and how can I participate?

  • Visual-Blikvangers

In this edition of the Dibevo Trade Fair, we say goodbye to the novelty gallery on the exhibition floor. But of course not without replacing it with something much better! That is BLIKVANGERS (Eye Catchers), a brand new presentation with promising products that are displayed in a large circular pavilion in the entrance hall. One product from each exhibitor is on display in the BLIKVANGERS pavilion.

    Best of Show Awards

Visitors can vote on what they think is the best product during the exhibition days. The ten products with the most votes are then assessed by an expert jury on the factors of innovation, animal welfare and sustainability. They ultimately select the product that best meets these conditions and which exhibitor goes home with the ‘Best of show award’ and which two exhibitors are the runners-up.

The winner not only receives the Dibevo award for the best product of the Dibevo Trade Fair 2023, but also receives free two pages of editorial attention in the Dibevo trade magazine. A great promotion opportunity!

    The jury

The jury consists of Huub Rohof, former commercial director at AniDis, EcoStyle and Agri Retail, among others; Brigitte Goossens, Policy Officer Animal Content Expertise at the Animal Protection Agency; and Gerrit Hofstra, deputy secretary of legislation and regulations for living animals and plants at Dibevo.

    How to participate?

Participation in this presentation is free, subject to the following conditions:

    • Each exhibitor may hand in one product that we will display in the pavilion, stating the company name and stand number. Please note: it is one product per exhibitor, not one product per brand. There simply isn't room for that.

    • Is the operation of the product not clear? Or is more information needed to understand the product? In that case we can place an (ultra short!) clarifying text and/or photo in the A5 display that we place next to each product. You can submit your text until 18 September via g.voshaar@dibevo.nl. We mold everything into a beautiful and matching uniform design and have the signs printed on special display cardboard.

    • In order to prevent a cacophony of various expressions, self-supplied displays, signs, leaflets, brochures, etc. will not be placed.

    Participate?

We strive for every exhibitor to participate with a new or special product. You can deliver this product, provided with the company name, to the reception during the construction days, but in any case before Saturday 7 October 10.00 am.

  • What is the light situation in the halls?

  • Both halls are equipped with a grid of light domes that provide a light situation you could call semi-daylight.

  • What is included in the standard stand construction?

  • The following are included in the standard stand construction price:

    • Partition walls (1000 mm wide x 2500 mm high)
    • Frieze panel (300 mm) high
    • Double spotlight fixtures (one per 6 m² rented stand space). You can rotate these spotlights as desired to illuminate certain objects.
    • Company name (no logo) printed on frieze panel

There is no ceiling in the stand, as this is prohibited in accordance with fire-safety regulations.

  • What is included in the price for using your own stand?

  • When you use your own stand, you only rent the square metres of stand space with carpet, without back or side walls. You will be responsible for providing these yourself, and including them in your stand design.

NB: prevention is better than cure! That is why we like to receive your stand design or a sketch of your stand as soon as possible on vakbeurs@dibevo.nl.

  • How can I affix materials/posters, etc. to the walls? (standard stand construction)

  • Hooks (two different lengths) are available from the reception desk free of charge which you can use to affix materials to the walls of your stand. You may also affix materials using double-sided tape. This tape is also available free of charge from the reception desk. Objects hung from the walls may not weigh more than 5 kilos.

  • I would like to have a back or side wall made to order. What are the exact dimensions? (standard stand construction)

  • When you order standard stand construction and would like to have a back or side wall in customised dimensions, take the interior dimensions of the stand into account. Please contact us if you have any questions.

  • What is the maximum height for a stand? (using your own stand)

  • The maximum height of the stand is 4 metres. If you use your own stand, you are required to comply with the regulations and provide a drawing of your stand. The deadline for submitting this drawing is 6 September!

  • Is there carpeting in the stand?

  • In de hall the stand spaces come with dark-grey 50 x 50 cm carpet tiles. This applies to standard and own stand construction.

  • Are there lunch services available during the set-up period?

  • During the set-up period, there is an area to get coffee and tea, but lunch is not available.

  • I need a hydraulic lift and/or forklift. Are these available during the set-up period?

  • During the set-up period, there is one hydraulic lift and one forklift available free of charge. These must be operated by the venue staff. Please reserve these in a timely manner so that we can schedule accordingly.

If most of the standard stand construction has already been built during the set-up period, it is no longer possible to use a hydraulic lift to set up your own stand.

  • Where can I park during the set-up period?

  • You can park in car park area P3 during the set-up and tear-down periods.

  • I live far from Rijswijk. Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

  • Yes, of course! There is a 3-star and a 4-star hotel both within walking distance of the Broodfabriek.

  • Do I have to clean my stand myself, or will this be taken care of by the Broodfabriek?

  • At the end of the last set-up day and the first day of the exhibition, the aisles will be vacuumed. The stand spaces themselves will not be cleaned. You will be responsible for doing this yourself. Even though the Broodfabriek has five vacuum cleaners available, it is wise to bring your own.

  • Will there be security in the exhibition halls?

  • During the nights between Saturday, 7/Sunday, 8 October and between Sunday, 8 Monday, 9 October, professional security will be present in the exhibition hall.

  • Will my stand and the contents be insured?

  • At your own business premises you are insured based on your own insurance portfolio. However, once you leave these premises - en route to the Dibevo Trade Fair, for example - insurance policies generally stop providing coverage for your goods. Your risks actually start during loading and unloading. During road transport, goods can also get lost and/or damaged, for example during a collision or as a result of swerving to avoid an accident. Then there’s your stand at the Dibevo Trade Fair, without any comprehensive fire and theft insurance coverage for a few days. The Broodfabriek is insured, but only for its own property! If you don’t take additional measures, you will be uninsured at the exhibition hall. We urgently recommend that you take out an insurance policy to protect your business from the risks above!

  • Is there a place where I can store my packaging materials?

  • Bear in mind that there is only a limited amount of space available at the Broodfabriek for storing packaging materials during the exhibition period.

  • What can I do with my trash?

  • The removal of waste is not included in the rental of stand space. This means that during the set-up and tear-down period, you will be responsible for removing your waste, packaging plastic, cardboard, brochures, signage, and other exhibition-related waste. If you fail to do this, and the Broodfabriek has to remove your waste for you and in the worst case, you will even receive an additional invoice.

  • Can I store products and/or gifts behind (the partition walls of) my stand?

  • In the interest of (fire) safety, you may not store products and/or gifts for visitors behind the walls of your stand.

  • Where can I find the trade fair regulations?

  • I have requested lighting for my stand. Does this also include electrical outlets?

  • lf you have requested lighting, this does not automatically mean that you will also have an electrical connection in your stand. You must request this separately. The connections will be supplied by the Broodfabriek.

  • I have ordered an electrical connection. Does this also include extension cords and multiple sockets?

  • If you have requested an electrical connection, during the set-up of your stand, you must - if necessary - supply your own extension cords and sockets. An electrical connection actually only contains a single power point.

  • Can I play music in my booth?

  • No, music is almost always perceived as disturbing by both visitors and exhibitors, and is therefore not allowed.

  • I need electricity at night too. How can I order this?

  • The Broodfabriek offers electricity at night as a standard service. You do not have to order it separately.

  • I have ordered furniture/water/electricity/Internet. When will I receive the items in this order?

  • If you have ordered extra items or facilities (furniture, but also water, electricity, Internet, etc.) for your stand, as the organisation, we assume that you will have actually received these. If you have not received them, please report this before Saturday afternoon, 9 October. After this date, we will no longer be able to check if you actually received these items. It is possible, for example, that a chair or other part of your order has ‘wandered off’, even though it was initially delivered to your stand, so please keep a close eye on these items. If you discover after Saturday afternoon that part of your order is missing, we will still have to invoice you for the ordered item.

  • Is Wi-Fi available, or do I need to order a wired connection?

  • There is a public wireless Wi-Fi network available at the Broodfabriek. If an Internet connection is essential for your stand or presentation, we recommend ordering a wired Internet connection.

  • Is there somewhere I can store valuables or deposit them for safekeeping?

  • The organisation does not store property for participants. For this reason, please think about ways for safely storing (or taking home with you again) valuables at your stand after the exhibition closing time.

  • I won’t be able to set up my stand before Saturday, 7 October. Will this be a problem?

  • No, this is not a problem, but do bear in mind that you will no longer be able to do any sawing work or move large items on Saturday. We know from experience that these types of activities can produce a thick layer of dust that settles on stands that have already been completely set up. For this reason, Saturday is designated only for designing the interior layout of your stand and displays.

During the trade fair

  • When is the exhibition open?

  • Sunday, 8 October

    09:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

    Monday, 9 October

    09:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  • What time is the exhibition hall open to exhibitors?

  • On Sunday and Monday the hall starting at 8:00 a.m. We definitely recommend that you to arrive on time. Otherwise, you will get caught in the line of visitors entering the exhibition and could be delayed getting to your own stand.

  • Is there an exhibitor restaurant?

  • Yes there is an exhibitor's restaurant where exhibitors can use the lunch. Lunch consists of various sandwiches, 2 types of soup,  and snacks.

  • Is catering available during the exhibition days?

  • During the exhibition days there is plenty of free catering available in the Broodfabriek and there is service on the stands.

  • Do I have to vacuum my stand myself after the first exhibition day, or will this be taken care of by the Broodfabriek?

  • At the end of the first day of the exhibition, the aisles will be vacuumed. The stand spaces themselves will not be cleaned. You will be responsible for doing this yourself. Even though the Broodfabriek has five vacuum cleaners available, it is wise to bring your own.

Tear-down period

  • When does the tear-down period start and end?

  • Monday, 9 October

    6:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m.

    Tuesday, 10 October

    8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • What can I do with my trash?

  • The removal of waste is not included in the rental of stand space. This means that during the tear-down period, you will also be responsible for removing your waste, packaging plastic, cardboard, brochures, signage, and other exhibition-related waste. If you fail to do this, and the Broodfabriek has to remove your waste for you, you will lose the right to a refund of your deposit, and in the worst case, you will even receive an additional invoice.

  • Are there lunch services available during the tear-down period?

  • During the tear-down period, there is an area to get coffee and tea, but lunch is not available.
